Firecon 2400 Batch Mixer System & Options

Photo of the Firecon 2400 Batch Mixer System

This Batch Mixer system is approved by and meets the standards and guidelines set by the Aerial Ignition Working Group. It also incorporates all the Corrective Actions set by Bureau of Land Management Director of Fire & Aviation. Unit comes with a Certificate of Compliance for the DOT tank and for the system as a whole.

The tank has two ways to bottom fill, one for pumper truck use and the other for a gas station type filling. Tank has a fuel level gauge inside and unit comes with a clear Lexan sight insert for the man way. This insert allows for safe visual observation of fuel level and gel mixing.

Tank is plumbed for Vapor Recovery/Removal hose. It has been found that by using the Vapor Hose while adding the gelling agent, most of the fuel fumes are siphoned off away from the operators face. The Vapor hose must be connected to all new or retrofitted helitorches.

Gel mixing is done by recirculation. Mixing time vary from 10 to 20 minutes. System is plumbed and wired to be used as a Terra Torch. The wand and hose by be purchased with the unit or at a later date.
