Outka-Perkins, Lisa . 2002. Personal Safety in Remote Work Locations Module 2: Supervisor Responsibilities. 0267 2V01. Missoula, MT: U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, National Technology and Development Program.

Personal Safety in Remote Work Locations is a video training program to help employees cope with the personal safety problems they encounter while working with the public. The first module, General Awareness, increased the awareness of personal safety for employees working in remote locations.

Supervisor Responsibilities, the second module, is divided into five sections: A) establishing personal safety as a priority, B) providing for personal safety training, C) tailoring work assignments, D) supporting employees, and E) support after a threat has been received.

In this 20-minute video, you hear actual supervisors talking about things they do to increase the personal safety of their employees. The issues they talk about are intended to generate and focus open discussions between supervisors and employees.
