The Missoula Technology and Development Center developed a personal safety training program to help Forest Service employees avoid or handle violence and threats of violence. The four video modules have been repackaged on a DVD. The DVD features:
- "General Awareness," a 23-minute video that provides general awareness of potentially dangerous situations, and precautions employees can take to stay safe
- "Supervisor Responsibilities," a 20-minute video that highlights actions supervisors can take to increase the personal safety of employees working in remote locations
- "Avoiding Trouble," a 40-minute, two-part video that shows specific tactics employees can use to avoid trouble while working with the public
- "Building Trust in Small Towns," a 30-minute video that explains how Forest Service employees can protect their personal safety when living and working in small towns
