This poster shows some of the common defects that create a danger tree. By learning to identify these hazards, firefighters, forest technicians, and sawyers increase their situational awareness and know when to walk away. Danger tree identification includes assessing the worksite, determining if trees in the area are safe, and deciding on a mitigation method.
