The Missoula Technology and Development Center (MTDC) issued a notice (1151-2819) about reports of cracking in Bullard Wildfire hardhats (FH911C and FH911H) manufactured since 2008. Hardhats were removed from service and some have been sent to Bullard for evaluation. This notice provides more information about hardhat damage and options for a better hardhat fit.
MTDC would like to be informed if additional hardhats are found with similar or unexpected damage. If you encounter these problems, please contact Mary Ann Davies at the MTDC: mdavies@fs.fed.us or 406-329-3981.
