Phos-Chek G75-W

Phos-Chek G75-W is a dry concentrate formulation that contains a mixture of monoammonium phosphate and ammonium sulfate as the fire retardant salts. G75-W is a low viscosity (50-150 centipoise), gum-thickened product. It contains a viscosity stabilizer and corrosion inhibitors. It is uncolored. An eductor mixer is used to add the dry concentrate to the proper amount of water. Recirculation is required before loading the mixed retardant is into aircraft.

Product Type: Low-viscosity, gum-thickened, dry powder; eductor-mixed.
Qualification: Qualified for use from a temporary base and can be applied from a helicopter bucket or ground engine.
Use Level: 1.12 pound of dry retardant mixed with 1 gallon of water will produce 1.07 gallons of mixed retardant. Each gallon of mixed retardant contains the equivalent of 1.05 pounds of powder.
Yield: 1 ton of powder yields 1907 gallons of mixed retardant.
Viscosity: 60-250 centipoise (cP).
Field measurement (Marsh funnel): 35-52 sec through the small tip.
Salt Content: 11.2 percent by weight active salts: 8.4 percent by weight AS, (NH4)2SO4 and 2.8 percent by weight MAP, NH4H2PO4.
Field measurement (refractometer): A reading of 11.25 indicates a proper salt content. A reading between 10.25 and 12.25 indicates an acceptable salt content.
Specific Weight: 8.85 lb/gal for mixed retardant.
