This section covered what red flags can help identify potentially dangerous individuals, how to defuse upset and angry visitors, and how to manage protestors.

After frontliners have dealt with an angry individual or a protestor, they may feel shaken or personally attacked. Even though it may be difficult, they should not personalize or internalize what has happened. These visitors are upset with the Forest Service, not them.
