Summary

Additional information is required for both sites before a comprehensive plan can be completed. In both cases, adit discharge should be monitored throughout the year or, at least during the spring, summer, and fall months. During this same period, infiltration rates and soil permeability should be monitored to identify the rate and direction of the recharge to the workings. The available information suggests that a relatively inexpensive project to control recharge would significantly reduce adit discharge.
