About the Authors

Allison Lamphier received her graduate degree in sociology from the University of Montana in 2001 after completing this project. She lives in Billings, MT, where she works for the State of Montana Department of Health and Human Services Child Support Enforcement Division. In addition to her full-time work, Allison serves in the Montana Air National Guard.

Jon Driessen received his Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Colorado in 1969. Until 2000, he was a full-time professor of sociology at the University of Montana. Since 1977, he has also worked as a faculty affiliate at the Missoula Technology and Development Center. His most recent project has been the production of a series of personal safety training modules. Module 1, Personal Safety Awareness in Remote Work Locations, was released in 2001.
