DataRAM4 Particulate Monitor Forest Service User's Guide

Introduction

This guide explains:

• Where to site the DataRAM4 to collect local smoke data
• How to assemble the instrument
• How to start a run
• How to stop a run
• How to set up the laptop
• How to download the data into the laptop
• How to transfer the data into an Excel spreadsheet

The guide will also help you set up the remote satellite telemetry system, assemble and configure the DataRAM for proper communication with the telemetry system, and verify that the system is sending data before you leave the site.
