> START RUN> ZERO/INITIALIZE > VIEW/TRANSFER DATA |
The satellite system is equipped with LED indicators to verify that the satellite modem has power, the modem is receiving information from the DataRAM, and the antenna is properly placed for the modem to "see" the satellites.
After starting a run on the DataRAM and then turning on the power to the remote telemetry satellite system, the first red LED should illuminate after a few seconds. This indicates the modem has power. Within five minutes, the middle LED red light should illuminate indicating the modem is receiving information from the DataRAM. This LED will remain on for one minute and then turn off. This on/off cycle will continue throughout the receiving period. The green LED light will turn on and off as satellites become in "view" of the antennae. If this green LED light does not illuminate within ten minutes, reposition the antenna to a higher and unobstructed position. Within 2 hours the data will be posted on the Internet site and will be updated hourly.
