Using
the "Guidelines for Road Maintenance Levels" (0577–1205P–SDTDC)
will help Forest Service road managers, line officers, transportation engineers,
equipment operators, and field personnel work together to develop road maintenance
plans and determine road management objectives.
The guide's small size, convenient format, and special paper make it easy for equipment operators to use while they're maintaining roads. Photos and explanations in the guide will help operators apply road management and maintenance standards consistently.
