About the Author

Keith Windell is a project leader for reforestation and nurseries, fire, residues, forest health protection, recreation, engineering, health and safety, range, and watershed, soil, and air projects. He has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Montana State University. Windell has worked for the California Department of Forestry; U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management; and the Forest Service.
