Definitions

• Accident—any unplanned event that results in personal injury or in property damage. Similarly, property damage may be minor or serious.
  
  
• Near Miss—any situation or incident that narrowly misses being an accident which the circumstances indicate serious potential for substantial damage, injury, or death.
