• There are three types of safety and health inspections performed in the Forest Service:

    • Facilities (formal)
    • Workplace/project (formal)
    • Employee requested (informal)

  • Another form of "inspection" is a program review, otherwise referred to as the "FS Baseline Initiative." This program review focuses on compliance with OSHA and other Forest Service regulations. Refer to Topic 10 Other Appropriate Rules and Regulations—Special Emphasis Programs (Baseline), for additional information on this program review.
