The Forest Service Safety and Health Information Portal System (SHIPS) is a web-based accident reporting database program required for reporting work-related injuries and illnesses.

It is used to record an unplanned event which causes an injury/illness, damage to property, or both. SHIPS is used to record accidents on all employees, volunteers, and enrollees, except Job Corps students who are reported through SHIMS.
