DescriptionThis publication briefly reviews the impact of increasing atmospheric carbon dioxide and tropospheric ozone on global climate change, and the response of forest trees to these atmospheric pollutants and their interactions; points out the need for large-scale field experiments to evaluate the response of plants to these environmental stresses; and describes the development, operational parameters, experimental methods, and the potential research scope of the aspen Free-air Carbon dioxide and ozone Enrichment (FACE) project.
