DescriptionBayletor® was field-tested for fusiform rust control at eight pine tree nurseries during the spring of 1978. Four to six foliar sprays of this systemic fungicide were as effective as ferbam sprayed 16 to 36 times. Seed treatment with Bayleton reduced infection levels but did not significantly improve rust control in plots sprayed with Bayleton. At high rates, Bayleton sprays inhibited seedling growth and mycorrhizal development. However, proper application rates should minimize this problem and result in no loss of seedling quality.
