DescriptionOver a 10-year period, survivals of cones from controlled cross-pollinations were less than 40 percent, and seed yields per cone averaged about half those from wind-pollinations. Self-pollinations produced about 15 percent as much seed as cross-pollinations. Interspecific pollinations were generally less productive than intraspecific pollinations.
