Pinnacles Campground

This campground hosts 21 campsites with dramatic views near Brooks Lake. Angling and flyfishing opportunities are nearby, with a boat ramp at Brooks Lake. Pinta Cove Shelter

An Adirondack style emergency shelter at Pinta Cove. The shelter is supplied with a wood stove, food preparation table, and sleeping bunks. This shelter is available for recreational use on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are not required. Firewood is not provided.

Pintler Ranger District

Pioneer Cabin Trailhead

This trailhead serves the Pioneer Cabin Tr. No. 122 and Long Gulch Tr. No. 123. There are also two picnic sites, each featuring a fire ring and picnic table. A hitching rail and limited trailer parking are provided for stock users. A vault toilet is located at the trailhead.

Pioneer campground is located on the banks of the Blacksmith Fork River about 9 miles from Hyrum, Utah at an elevation of 5,600 feet. This little campground has many nicely secluded sites tucked under Black Willow and Box Elder trees.

Your journey begins in the extreme southeastern corner of Idaho at Franklin, Idaho's oldest city, before continuing up the Bear River through historically rich sites, spectacular scenery, and opportunities for wildlife viewing. Your trek takes you from vibrant small towns to abandoned places where the ghosts of the nation's past always linger nearby. Grays Lake Wildlife Refuge and Tincup Canyon are nearby.

Pioneer Mothers' Memorial Forest

This 88-acre old growth oak-hickory forest has been virtually undisturbed since before it was purchased by Joseph Cox in 1816. After being protected by the Cox family for 124 years, when a descendent died in 1940, the land was sold to a lumber company. It was prevented from being cut due to a community fundraising effort. Pioneer Pass Camping Area

  Pioneer is a large site composed of dispersed campgrounds located in the Globe Ranger District of Tonto National Forest. Set in the cool Pinal Mountains South of Pioneer Pass is the Bobtail Spring trail that leads to Pinal Peak along with the East Mountain Trail.
