Over 3 million acres of land located in 22 National Recreation Areas managed by the Forest Service is preserved for recreational activities like hiking, boating, fishing and swimming, while highlighting natural, cultural and scenic resources. Visitors who choose to recreate on these public lands find 164,000 miles of trails, over 30,000 recreation sites, over 5,000 miles of streams and 3 million acres of lakes, 127 alpine ski areas, 338,000 heritage sites, and specially designated sites that include 37 million acres of designated wilderness areas, 130 wild and scenic rivers, 15 monuments, and one preserve. Bridge Campground

Bridge Campground offers 19 campsites in a flat, open area all on a first-come, first-serve basis. Plenty of large sites offer views of the high peaks to the north. Horses are not allowed inside the campground.

Bridge Creek Campground

Located near the confluence of Bridge Creek and Icicle Creek, this campground is 9 miles from Leavenworth. There are 6 single sites that are not reservable, and 1 group site that can be reserved. This campground is close to many trails and trailheads.

Nestled in tall timber, with a creek running through, Bridge Creek Campground has campsites with tables and metal fire rings.

Bridge Flat River Access

A pullout and short trail to a large pool under a bridge over the Scott River. This is a put-in for a Class V section of the Scott River during spring run-off and a favorite swimming hole during the summer months.

Broad Canyon Campground & Trailhead

Broken Bowl Campground

This small campground offers 16 sites with a family atmosphere, mature forest shade, and easy access to the cool waters of Fall Creek. Three of the sites are walk-in.  

Brookchar Campground

Brookchar Campground is tucked on the banks of Big Lake in the White Mountains of eastern Arizona. The campground is a small, tent-only facility comprised entirely of walk-in sites. Of the lake's five campgrounds, Brookchar is nearest to the water. The stocked lake draws anglers, and boat rentals and a boat ramp make it easy for campers to enjoy the lake's blue waters.

Brooklyn Lake Campground

The campground is located on Brooklyn Lake. Every site has a view of the lake ranging from great to spectacular. Brooks Lake Campground

Brooks Lake Campground hosts 13 sites around Brooks Lake. Trails from the campground access the Washakie Wildernes as well as a multitude of recreational mountain lakes. Water is not available. Brown Creek Campground

Brown Creek Campground is located along the shore of the South Fork Skokomish River at the confluence with Brown Creek. Evergreen conifers and hardwoods provide lots of shade at this campground. Browne Lake Campground

Browne Lake Campground is located next to a small lake on the north side of the Uinta mountains. The campground is accessed via a well-maintained dirt road. Browne Lake offers boating and fishing opportunities. Check fishing season information and regulations.

Brownlee Area, Weiser Ranger District

Brownlee Campground

This 11-unit campground is located in Ponderosa pine trees offering shade on a hot summer day. Sites are located a few miles off the main Hwy 71, so it is peaceful and quiet. No hook-ups. Potable water for cooking and drinking is available on-site. Sixteen foot limit for RVs. The typical operating season is mid-May through late September or early October. 

Browns Canyon National Monument

Browns Canyon National Monument is 21,566 acres that was officially designated in 2015 and remains relatively undeveloped. The majority of the monument’s visitors raft through Browns Canyon on the Arkansas River.
