Human Resources Specialists (Classification)

Position classification is a process through which Federal jobs are assigned to a pay system, series, title, and grade or band, based on a consistent application of position classification standards. As a Classification HR Specialist, you will be responsible for providing classification services for complex and controversial issues for positions across the Forest Service. Positions will include a range of professional, scientific, administrative, and highly-technical positions. Positions will also include high-grade positions and positions emerging in rapidly changing technical fields. You will also provide position management advisory services, assisting supervisors and managers in achieving the most efficient effective, and economical usage of human resources in their organization.
