Trail Crews
The Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) spans 2,650 miles from Mexico to Canada covering over dozens of national forests from California, Oregon, and Washington. Discover how crews are using funding from the Great American Outdoors Act to help maintain the PCT.
After a large rockslide covered the Horsetail Falls trail along the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon, the trail crew has been working very hard to reroute the trail around the rockslide. Learn about building a whole new trail and what goes into that process with Trail's Supervisor Nathaniel.

Regional Contacts

Intermountain Region (R4): Includes twelve National Forests which are located in Utah, Nevada, western Wyoming, southern and central Idaho, as well as one National Grassland in Idaho and the Rocky Mountain Research Station in Colorado.
