Wildfire Crisis Strategy

To address the Wildfire Crisis Strategy, the Forest Service launched five efforts to hire technical and professional specialists to plan, design, coordinate, and implement fuels and forest health treatment projects to reduce wildfire risk across 21 Western landscapes. The strategy outlines the Forest Service's collaborative plan for increasing fuels and forest health treatments to create healthier forests and reduce wildfire risk to people, communities, and infrastructure with funds appropriated by Congress through the infrastructure and inflation reduction laws.
