Do you want to diversify your staff with a Job Corps intern or full time employee?
What are your work needs?
Do you have a short- or long-term project?
Need an individual or a crew?
Civilian Conservation Centers do that.
What are Job Corps Internships?
Job Corps internships, also known as Work-Based Learning (WBL), allow students to practice their trade on a job site. Assignments can be covered individually or with a crew. Individual placement typically lasts for 6 weeks, (but can be extended to 16 weeks with the possibility of a permanent position). Consideration needs to be given to supervision, mentoring, housing, transportation, and food stipends for work assignment opportunities. Also, a formal WBL agreement must be established between the student and the hosting location.
Mobile Corps
Mobile Corps refers to larger scale, multi-student and/or multi-center projects. These projects have ranged from painting/maintenance at Grey Towers National Historical Site/ Gifford Pinchot House, building smaller buildings and campsite projects, to the construction of ranger stations and staff housing. A formal application process must be completed for project consideration.
