Boise
Boise Field Office/District Office

- Additional Information: There is a collocated, heavy mechanic shop under Service First authority at this location. The FS provides the shop, tools, office space, and equipment, and the BLM uses the space and equipment and reimburses the Forest Service.

- Additional Information: The Service First agencies are co-located in support of national wildland fire management. Annually, there are many interagency agreements between the agencies, some of which support national fire and aviation programs and projects.
Coeur d'Alene
Coeur d'Alene Field/District Office

- Additional Information: The Coeur d'Alene District has a cooperatively funded (BLM-FS) Hazardous Materials Environmental Coordinator, which is a new position (a BLM position). The first position under Service First authority was the District/IPNF Fire Management Office (FMO). It is co-funded by both BLM and FS, and works for both agencies. The District also shares a Safety Office with the BLM Spokane District. The position divides time between Spokane and Coeur d'Alene. In terms of office space, 1/3 of the space is BLM occupied, 2/3 is FS occupied. BLM leases the space from the Forest Service. Two warehouses connected to the building are also shared, with the space split between the agencies. The front desk is staffed by FS and BLM employees. There is also a shared mail room, break room, and conference room. Although each agency has their own vehicles, ATVs, snowmobiles, and boats are shared between agencies.
Idaho Falls
Eastern Idaho Interagency Fire Unit

- Additional Information: The front desk is staffed by either a FS or BLM employee at all times, who each work half-days. The safety committee for the location is of combined staff from each agency. In the mail room, shared at the location between the agencies, the station has an informal arrangement: whoever gets there first, whether a BLM or FS employee, sorts the mail. No shared positions. One GSA individual is also at this facility.
Pocatello

- Additional Information: Collocated BLM and FS office. There is a shared front desk area and each agency provides an employee to work it all day. The office is divided between BLM and FS, but the middle of the office is shared by the Phosphate Management Program (see below). Some positions have an overlap in position responsibilities. Expertise is shared at this office, including between FS and BLM Archeology, Recreation, Fuels and Wildlife staffs who often work on joint projects.

- Additional Information: The BLM and FS work collectively to implement the Phosphate Mine Administration Program in southeastern Idaho. The current program includes five BLM and one and a half FS Geologists. This informal Service First arrangement has increased efficiencies in the management of phosphate in the region.
