Additional Information

  • Be aware that passes can vary with weather any time of year. Some may be slick in areas, washed out or snow covered, even if they are listed as OPEN.  Please don't go beyond where you are comfortable driving. Be safe out there!
  • THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL INSTANCES OF ROAD CLOSURE SIGNS AND BARRICADES BEING REMOVED OR DRIVEN AROUND. Anyone caught will be reported to the Sheriff's Department. Driving on closed roads can seriously damage the roadway, as well as put your vehicle at risk. Driving off trail seriously impaces the fragile tundra.

Poughkeepsie  - Closed Indefinitely due to people repeatedly cutting the gate locks and going off trail, causing a lot of trail damage
Scotch Creek - Open
South Mineral Road  - Open
Stony Pass - Open, but use extreme caution when crossing Pole Creek. It can possibly be crossed in morning but changes drastically by afternoon due to snowmelt.  
Treasure Mountain Loop - Open
Yankee Boy Basin - Open
