= Crystal Mountain Resort
This winter a brand new gondola opens at Crystal Mountain Resort, taking riders higher and faster, while staying warm and dry to enjoy spectacular views of Mount Rainier and the North Cascade Mountains. Riders will travel up to the 6,856-foot-elevation top in less than 10 minutes, half the time of the old chairlifts. The new gondola will allow Crystal to open earlier and stay open later, give skiers access to Green Valley and will serve as backup to the chairlift.

The 23 cabins can carry 600 people an hour and the addition of an optional 13 cabins can increase capacity to 900 people an hour. Crystal expects the gondola to open the second week of December. For more information.
