Offices

The Shasta Lake Ranger Station is the primary office for management of the Shasta and Trinity Unit of the Whiskeytown - Shasta-Trinity National Recreation Area.  The Ranger Station provides a wide variety of visitor information, not only for travelers on the I-5 corridor, but for local residents as well.

We specialize in information about the Whiskeytown-Shasta-Trinity National Recreation Area, but also offer information about the Shasta-Trinity National Forest, other National Forests in Northern California, nearby State and National Parks and Regional Information.

In addition, the Ranger Station also is a Branch Store for Discover Your Northwest (DYNW). Discover Your Northwest maintains active partnerships with public land agencies in five states - California, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington.  They work closely with these land agencies by providing funds to support their interpretive missions and visitor experiences.
