Florida Trail Florida Trail near Clearwater Lake

The Ocala National Forest section of the statewide Florida Trail includes nearly 90 miles of hiking and backpacking in two distinct corridors, eastern and western. The traditional, original route from Clearwater Lake north to the Kirkpatrick Dam at Rodman was the first segment of this National Scenic Trail that was designed and built by volunteers of the Florida Trail Association, starting in 1966.
