The area offers spin and fly fishing in both lakes and streams, access to hiking, backpacking, and mountain biking on the many nearby dirt roads and trails. The area borders on the Continental Divide and sits on top of the Park Range, offering spectacular views of several Colorado mountain ranges. Bird watchers and wildflower enthusiasts will find this area a paradise. Dumont Lake is located at the Picnic Area, which a short walk away from the campground.
