Many of the trails located within the Black Elk Wilderness were cleared at least once since June 1, but the number of downed trees across trails can change in an instant from storms passing over the Black Elk Wilderness. Remember to Look Up, Look Down and Be Aware of Your Surroundings!
February 17, 2015 - The Black Hills National Forest will temporarily open access to Cook Lake for ice fishing and day-use. If conditions allow, the lake will remain open through April 1, 2015. - More Information
