Many of the trails located within the Black Elk Wilderness are cleared in early summer time, but the number of downed trees across trails can change in an instant from storms passing over the Black Elk Wilderness. Remember to Look Up, Look Down and Be Aware of Your Surroundings!
A Forest Service contractor is resurfacing Victoria Lake Road (NFSR 159) from the intersection of Sheridan Lake Road, proceeding west 2.5 miles. The public can expect 15-20 minute delays Monday – Friday, through mid-November.
