Warm River Hatchery Apartment/Garage Bldg. Decommissioning

Warm River Hatchery Raceways, ca. 1939-1940

Ashton Island Park Ranger District is seeking public comment on a project that would remove the old garage/apartment building at the Warm River Fish Hatchery.  This building was identified as an underutilized building and recommended for decommissioning.  The project would remove the unused building while repairing the aging hatchery building to be preserved as of reminder of the site’s historical significance.  The dwelling at the site will continue to be on the rental system.
