Accessibility of the various roads on the Forest depends on the time of year and the weather. Some Forest road conditions can be predicted, others can not. Unpredictable events of nature can produce road hazards which may not be cleared upon your arrival. Be flexible and enjoy the journey!
Important Notice: Roads and trails on the Fremont-Winema National Forest are designated for wheeled motor vehicle travel. Vehicle travel off these designated roads and trails will be prohibited starting February 2012. More information is available on the Forest's Travel Managment Web site. In February, hard copies of the Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM) can be obtained at all Forest offices and electronically.
