2012 Request for Applications

Collaborative Forest Restoration Program

In FY 2012, we will distribute approximately $3 million through cost-share grants to carry out forest restoration projects on public lands in New Mexico. Projects must be designed through a collaborative process that includes affected communities and other stakeholders.

Applications are due by close of business on February 27, 2012.

Awarded grants will be subject to federal assistance requirements (http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/grants_default/) and cost principles (https://www.acquisition.gov/far/current/html/Subpart 2031_2.html).
Grant recipients will also be required to sign assurances to certify that they will adhere to all federal regulations affecting grants (http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/grants_docs/).

Free Technical Assistance

Applicants should first contact the Forest Coordinator closest to the public land where treatment will take place. Free assistance is available in proposal development and multiparty monitoring. more on assistance and list of coordinators »

	December 2011 — Grant Writing Workshops These free workshops are being held throughout New Mexico. See list of workshops.
	February 27, 2012, 5 p.m. — Application Deadline Submit to 333 Broadway SE, Room 329, Albuquerque, NM 87102
	March 5-7, 2012 — Annual CFRP Workshop Santa Fe Community College, Santa Fe, NM Register
	April 23-27, 2012 — Application Evaluation, Hyatt Uptown, Albuquerque, NM The CFRP Technical Advisory Panel will review applications and make recommendatons.
	May 2012 — Select Applications and Notify Potential Recipients
