2013 CFRP Request for Application

In FY 2013, we will distribute approximately $3 million through cost-share grants to carry out forest restoration projects on public lands in New Mexico. Projects must be designed through a collaborative process that includes affected communities and other stakeholders. Interested candidates are encouraged to contact the following Program Coordinators in your area.

Applications are due by 5 p.m. MST on February 25, 2013. Electronic submission can be made through Grants.gov.
Hardcopy submissions can be submitted to Walter Dunn, Attn: 2013 CFRP Application, 333 Broadway SE, Room 329, Albuquerque, NM 87102.

Two documents have been developed in order to assist the applicants in the application process. These documents are mentioned throughout the Request for Application.  These are for optional use.

  • Executive Summary and Project Narrative (MS Word)
    When completed, this document must not exceed 12 pages.  If using another option for Executive Summary and Narrative, that document must not exceed 10 pages.
  • Detailed Budget Justification and Narrative (MS Excel)
    A detailed budget for each project year and budget object category is required. Provide a breakdown showing detailed unit costs and descriptions that clarify the line item amounts shown on form SF-424A.

Free Technical Assistance

Applicants should first contact the Forest Coordinator closest to the public land where treatment will take place. Free assistance is available in proposal development and multiparty monitoring. more on assistance and list of coordinators »
