- E-mailing your application to Tonto Volunteers (October through April) or sSouth Zone Tonto Volunteers (May through September)
- Mailing or hand-delivering your application to the Mesa Ranger District at 5140 E. Ingram St, Mesa, AZ, 85205 OR
- Faxing your completed application to 480-610-3346 OR
- Going to Volunteer.Gov, searching for positions, and applying online
Still have questions? Send an email to Tonto Volunteers (October through April) or South Zone Tonto Volunteers (May through September). If your email has not been responded to within 10 days, contact the office.
Special Notes
Certain positions may have special requirements that may include:
- A background check
- A collection of fingerprints
- Using your personal vehicle
- Completing the process to obtain a government driver’s license
- Wearing a government issued uniform
- An age restriction- All volunteers under the age of 18 must have written permission from their parent/guardian before volunteering for the National Forest
