Red Ives Information Center

The Red Ives Information Center features forest information and restrooms. Attractions include historic buildings and the very popular Red Ives Cabin rental as well as fishing, hunting, camping and many hiking, equestrian and motorized trail opportunities.

Current Conditions
It is free to visit the Red Ives Information Center located in the historic Red Ives Ranger Station. Times and dates of operation vary and are limited to the summer season (typically Memorial weekend through late September)

Directions

Drive 29 miles east of Avery on St. Joe River Road (Forest Highway 50), turn south on Red Ives Road (#218) and proceed 10 miles to the information center. Single lane road with turnouts. Road has potholes and variable surface conditions
