Motor Vehicle Use Maps (MVUM)

The Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM) is a black and white map with no topographic features. It is a map for legal designations of where visitors can travel with various motorized vehicles on national forest lands. MVUMs are best used in conjunction with a Forest Visitor Map or other detailed map. Routes not shown on the MVUM are not open to public motor vehicle travel.

1. MVUMs are organized by ranger district. Use the Ranger District Locator to determine which ranger district MVUM you need.
2. To download a georeferenced MVUM for use on the Avenza App, click the MVUM for the ranger district in the Avenza section below. These maps will show your location on the MVUM within the Avenza App when using a mobile device with location services enabled.
