Grays Peak (#54)

Beginning at the Grays Peak Trailhead and hiking high above treeline, this trail offers hikers the opportunity to summit two 14,000-foot mountains (Grays and Torreys) in one day. Always be prepared for sudden weather changes and start hiking early in the morning to avoid afternoon lightning storms. Due to high elevation, the area is not generally snow-free until late June or even July in some years. The road typically isn't plowed, so early and late season conditions my require hiking from the parking area off I-70.
