Kinney Creek (#22)

This 3.2-mile (one-way) trail begins in a flat area and follows the creek.  As the trail climbs quickly in elevation, the valley becomes narrower and steeper. It crosses the creek several times. Towards tree line the openings give an excellent view of the nearby cirques formed by glaciers. The trail ends on a saddle above tree line and provides a view of Lake Evelyn in the next valley to the north. The alpine ridge to the east and the Williams Fork Mountains and Gore Range can be seen to the west. At this point access can be gained to the Lake Evelyn Trail (#15) and St. Louis Divide Trail (#17).
