Trap Park (#995)

This trail may be accessed both in summer and winter months. The trail soon enters a boulder field and makes a switchback before following an old road up to Trap Park about a mile from the trailhead. For another two miles the trail meanders along the willow lined Trap Creek with the Neota Wilderness on both sides, but ends before entering the wilderness. From the boulder field you can view Trap Lake and from Trap Park you can find great views of Iron Mountain to the southwest and Flat Top Mountain to the south. The creek in the willow park area is bordered by sections of boggy meadow and the mosquitoes can be quite thick.
