Pursuant to 16 USC § 551 and 36 CFR § 261.50(b), the following act is prohibited on the section of National Forest System Trail (NFST) 424, Doctor Park Trail, described below and shown on the attached map incorporated into this Order as Exhibit A (“Described Trail”).
The Described Trail is the 9.85-mile section of NFST 424 beginning at the North Bank Campground gate in Taylor Canyon and ending where Doctor Gulch Road ends. It is located in the Taylor Canyon area of the Gunnison Ranger District of the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre, and Gunnison National Forest, Gunnison County, Colorado.
The purpose of this Order is to provide seasonal resource protection for migrating bighorn sheep.
PROHIBITIONS:
1. Being on the Described Trail from March 1 to the Friday before Memorial Day of each year. 36 CFR § 261.55(a)
EXEMPTIONS:
Pursuant to 36 CFR § 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this Order:
1. Persons with a special use authorization or other Forest Service authorization specifically exempting them from the effect of this Order.
2. Any Federal, State, or local office, or member of an organized rescue or firefighting force in the performance of an official duty.
This Order shall be in effect April 4, 2022, until rescinded or until March 31, 2027, whichever occurs first.

A violation of these prohibitions is punishable as a Class B misdemeanor by a fine of not more than $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization, or imprisonment for not more than 6 months, or both. 16 USC § 551 and 18 USC §§ 3559, 3571, 3581.
