Safety Announcement – Snowshed Fire Update

OURAY, Colo. (June 24, 6 p.m.) — The Snowshed Fire is now 90% contained and has burned approximately three acres north of Ironton Park along U.S. Highway 550. Activity remains minimal with some scattered smoldering. Light precipitation has helped slow the fire’s spread. No forest closures are in place, and U.S. Highway 550 remains fully open. Travelers are urged to stay alert in the area.
