East River #634

The East River Trail #634 begins on Forest Service Road 738.1A and ends on the Verzuh Young Bafand Ditch. This 4.4 mile round-trip trail is located just outside Crested Butte on the far side of Crested Butte Mountain. It follows the East River and provides an easy walk or ride not far from town with great wildflowers and terrific view of the East River Valley and White Rock Mountain.

Directions

From Crested Butte: From the south edge of town, travel approximately 1.8 miles south on Hwy 135 to the intersection with Gunnison County Road 738, Brush Creek Road. CR 738 becomes Forest Service Road 738 at the National Forest Boundary. Follow CR/FSR 738 for approximately 2.6 miles to a Trailhead on the north side of the road.
