Lake Of The Woods #506
The Lake of the Woods Trail #506 serves as a connecting route between Highway 65 near the Griffith Reservoirs to Cottonwood Reservoir #1. The trail for almost its entire distance travels at a level grade with occasional slight up and downhill grades through mixed spruce/fir and open meadows and marshy areas. The trail provides access to several quality fishing reservoirs like the Bull Creek Reservoirs and travels just below the northern rim of the Grand Mesa offering many scenic vistas.

Directions
WESTERN ACCESS:
Travel south from Mesa on Highway 65, past the Mesa Lakes Resort, to FSR #250 which forks left (northeast) off Highway 65 below Skyway. Turn left on FSR #250 and travel 0.4 miles to the parking area for the Lake of the Woods Trailhead.
EASTERN ACCESS:
Travel south from Collbran on County Road 58.5 till it reaches the Grand Mesa National Forest Boundary and becomes Trickle Park Road, FSR #121. Continue travelling south on the Trickle Park Road to Bonham Reservoir. Near the southeast corner of Bonham Reservoir, Cottonwood Lakes Road, FSR #257, forks right (southwest) off Trickle Park Road. Turn right onto Cottonwood Lakes Road and travel several miles to the parking area for Cottonwood Reservoir #1. The eastern trailhead for the Lake of the Woods Trail begins from the spillway on the northern edge of the reservoir.
