Directions

UPPER ACCESS:

From the Northern Forest Boundary, travel 9 miles South on Divide Road, FSR #402, to its junction with Uranium Road, FSR #404.  Turn right (West) on the Uranium Road and travel for 6.9 miles to the lower starting point of the Leonards Saddle Rd., FSR #414.  This road forks off the left (South) side of the Uranium Road and is marked by a sign which reads "Leonards Saddle".  Head South East on this road for 1.5 miles until reaching two roads which fork right (South)  and are only 10 yards apart.  Take the first (furthest West ) right and travel South for .2 mile to the Leonards Ridge Trailhead.

LOWER ACCESS:

This trailhead is at the same location as the lower trailheads of the Mailbox and Blue Creek Trails.  Since this trail is only .7 mile long, using the Leonards Ridge Trail itself would be the shortest access route to this location.  From the upper Mailbox Trailhead, it is 5.5 miles down to this location and it is 5.1 miles down from the upper Blue Creek Trailhead.  These trails all begin by splitting apart at the small crossing from the Massey Branch Drainage.  From this creek crossing, the Leonards Ridge Trail begins by heading west at a slight up grade through some cottonwood trees.
