Mesa Top #714

The Mesa Top Trail #714 travels through groves of aspen, spruce/fir and open meadows.  After about a mile it reaches the southern edge of the Grand Mesa where it continues southwest along the rim for approximately 4 miles where it intersects the Indian Point Trail #715 and the Flowing Park Trail #714.1A.  The trail winds its way along the top of the County Line rim overlooking Island Lake and the Granby’s as well as Cedaredge and Delta in the distance. At 10,780’ starting at the Mesa Top Trailhead and dropping to 10,080 at Flowing Park, the trail gradually descends along its route breaking into the open and ducking back into a Spruce/Fir forest then out to the rim again. Due to the elevation the season of use is generally from July thru October.
