Mill Lake #532

The Mill Lake Trail #532 begins at its intersection with the Fossil Ridge Trail #478 and ends at Mill Lake. Its entire length is in the Fossil Ridge Wilderness where Wilderness Regulation apply.  Fossil Mountain looms in the background on the easy day hike to Mill Lake.  It is located in a glacial cirque cut out of Fossil Ridge.  As the name implies, ancient marine fossils can be found in the rock formations surrounding the lake.  Please leave all artifacts that you find so that everyone can enjoy them.  Fishing for trout is good in Mill Lake. Trail Map
