Porter Mountain #534
The Porter Mountain Trail #534 gains over 1500 ft in elevation as it climbs at a moderate to steep grade through dense aspen stands and small meadows and clearings to the upper trailhead. The upper trailhead on top of Porter Mountain offers a 360 degree scenic vista of the surrounding country.

Directions
LOWER ACCESS:
Travel east 14.3 miles on Highway 330 from the Plateau Creek Bridge in Collbran to its intersection with Buzzard Divide Road, FSR #265. Turn right onto Buzzard Divide Road and travel south 10.7 miles to its intersection with Lowell Flat Road, FSR #265.2C. At this intersection Lowell Flats Rd. forks right off of the Buzzard Divide Rd. from a dispersed camp-site along Buzzard Creek. Turn right and travel west 0.2 miles on Lowell Flat Rd. to the lower Porter Mountain Trailhead.
UPPER ACCESS:
The upper trailhead for the Porter Mountain Trail can be accessed by taking the Porter Mountain Trail itself from the lower trailhead, or by travelling 1.92 miles on the Porter Cutoff Trail #535 from its lower trailhead off the Willow Creek Road, FSR #263, to its intersection with the Porter Mountain Trail. The end of the Porter Mountain Trail is located 2.30 miles to the southwest of the Porter Mountain/Porter Cutoff Trail intersection.
